How do I fill my pillow?

How long can the water stay in my pillow before it needs to be changed?
The water can be left in the pillow for up to one year, and then it should be changed. Many people like to wash their pillows, so that is a good time to change the water, because you should empty the water from the pillow before washing it.
Is normal tap water OK to use in my pillow?
Yes. If you use well water, you might want to add a few drops of bleach to the pillow water.
Can the pillow be washed?
Yes, the Waterbase® pillow can be washed according to the instructions on the care label. You must first empty the water and air from the pillow before washing it. Make sure the cap is replaced before washing. Water temperature should not exceed 105 degrees. Let the pillow air dry or use the "no heat" setting on your dryer.
Which side of the pillow do I sleep on?
The pillow should be placed “cap down” against your mattress.
Is the Mediflow® Waterbase® pillow available in different sizes, i.e. standard, queen or king size?
The Mediflow® pillow is a "Jumbo" size - it is 20" x 28" and will fit a standard or queen pillow case.
What type of polyester filling is used in the Mediflow® Waterbase® pillow?
Our pillow is filled with a high-quality, machine-washable Dacron fiber with a special finish to insure that it does not "lump up" or flatten out. It will respond quite well to periodic washing to rejuvenate the polyester.
Is my pillow hypoallergenic?
Yes
Can I get a natural filling Waterbase® pillow?

Where can I buy a Mediflow® Waterbase® pillow?
In the U.S., you can buy a pillow ONLINE from numerous retailers, including Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy’s, Target, CVS, Walgreens and Overstock. In Canada, you can buy a pillow at retail locations, specifically Shopper’s Drug Mart, Shoppers Home Health Care, Lawtons, Rexall, Jean Coutu, PharmaPrix and Brunet.
Is my pillow leaking?
It is extremely unlikely that a Mediflow pillow would leak due to a failure of the waterbag itself. If you think your pillow is leaking, please do the following BEFORE contacting us: 1) Remove the cap and clean off any dirt or grit from the rubber “O-ring” 2) Retighten the cap USING THE FUNNEL TOOL provided with your pillow 3) Place the pillow on paper towels or newspaper and apply pressure with something heavy (i.e. a book) to verify that you have a proper seal.
Is the Mediflow® Waterbase® pillow guaranteed against manufacturing defects?
Yes, Mediflow® Inc. provides a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. If you feel your pillow is defective you can return it to the retailer that you purchased it from a replacement pillow. Please be sure to have your receipt to prove that the pillow is still under warranty.

Why don’t I have a promotional postcard packaged with my pillow?
The free pillow protector was a limited-time promotion; hence, not all pillows contain promo cards.
I bought my pillow from a Canadian retailer who advertised a $10 rebate – how do I obtain this rebate?
If you purchased your pillow prior to 2012 from a Canadian retailer who advertised a $10 rebate, your pillow should contain a rebate form in the box. If it does not, you can bring the receipt back to the retailer and request a rebate form.
