Down Pillows

A down pillow is a pillow made from the down that ducks and geese have under the feathers on their breasts. This down under their feathers helps the birds insulate from low water temperatures when they swim. Down is collected when geese are in their molting process.

The price of a pillow depends on the quantity of down it has in. A pillow that has more down is more expensive than one which has less down in it.

One can also buy down-and-feather pillows. The prices depend on how much down they have in them. If you have allergies you can also buy a hypoallergenic down pillow.

It is very easy to clean and take care of a down pillow. With proper care, your down pillows will last longer. Ideally you should wash your pillows with an oil-removing detergent in cold water. After you do that, squeeze out the water and then put the down pillow into the drier. 

Always use a pillowcase, and change and wash it often.  For added protection, try an anti-allergen pillow protector. These pillow covers will protect your pillow from bacteria that can trigger allergic reactions and asthma.
